About Sandra Godley OBE.

Sandra’s earliest memories of singing and songwriting were when she was just 12 years old. However, it took quite a few years for her wonderful talent to be recognised when she was awarded ‘Best Female Newcomer’ at the Gospel Entertainment Music Awards at the age of 40.

Sandra’s third album – Miracle – earned a prestigious MOBO nomination for Best Gospel Artist and, most recently, the Gospel Music Association awarded Sandra both Best Overall Artist and Best Female Artist.

She’s performed on many television and radio networks including BBC, Sky and US channels as well as the House of Commons, The Roundhouse, CBS and Manchester Arenas to name but a few.

Close to Sandra’s heart is the Godiva Festival in Coventry – the city she now calls home – where she is about to perform for a fifth time with a group of young people who she is proud to be mentoring and directing.

Sandra’s dedication to inspiring young people was recognised recently when she was awarded an OBE for her charitable services. And, she has also received a British Citizen Award for Services to Arts.
